  • Inshallah  the Graduation Party will be this Saturday May 23,2009 at Audobon Elementary School from 9:00 to 11:00.  We will begin at 9:00 sharp.  The children have been practicing for their performances.  They are very excited.  We are collecting $15.00 per family. Hope to see everyone there.
      
  • There will be no school on Monday May 25, 2009 in observence of Memorial Day.  Make sure to enjoy it with your families.

Hadith of the week: Prophet pbuh said: " Modesty is a part of faith" Muslim
حديث الأسبوع: قال الرسول (صلى) :" الحياء شعبة من الإيمان"  مسلم

A believer must be modest in behaviour and in every walk of his life. He must show his modesty in his walk, talk, dress, and general behaviour. Modesty is an important sign of one's faith.

Tweet, Tweet.  The sweet sound of birds chirping in the air.  A sure sign that Spring has arrived.  We will be exploring the wonderful world of birds.  Where do they live?  What do they eat?  How do they fly?  What came first the chicken or the egg?  Well, we may not be able to answer that one.

**In the Last few weeks we were teaching our children about time and money, and this has reminded us of our beloved prophet pbuh words in this hadith:

Narrated Abdullah Bin Mas`ud Allah's Messenger (PBUH) said:

"A man shall be asked concerning five things on the day of resurrection: concerning his life, how he spent it; concerning his youth, how he grew old; concerning his wealth, whence he acquired it, and in what way he spent it; and what was it that he did with the knowledge that he had."

So as we can see we should take advantage of 5 before 5.

The Prophet (saw) advised to: “Take benefit of five before five: Your youth before your old age, your health before your sickness, your wealth before your poverty, your free time before you are preoccupied, and your life before your death”
(Narrated by Ibn Abbas and reported by Al Hakim)

Let us all learn with our children and help them always remember these words!
